He was very apologetic when I spoke to him about it and said he had no idea it was that loud. As I suspected he was leaving the radio on as a form of security. He basically said that he'll turn on a radio in a different room so as not to disturb me. I don't know for sure if it's resolved though since he hasn't had a night shift since we talked.
