Happy Women’s Day, March 8
This post was inspired by a post on my little sister’s blog. Apparently Women’s Day is an international holiday that has for some reason gone uncelebrated and completely unmentioned here in the US.
I thought this would be a great time to share a couple of fabulous bumper stickers that I’ve seen recently. The first one is silly, but I like it:
“What would Xena do?”
The second pretty much sums up my general philosophy. My typical response when someone tells me to be good or stay out of trouble is if you can’t be good, be good at it! ;-) Now I can add this saying to my collection of quippy responses.
“Well behaved women rarely make history.”
So, to all the women out there, especially the less than well behaved, have a happy Women’s Day!
I was reading thru one of my Italian books and it mentions 8 March as Women’s Day. It too said we’re supposed to get presents. Hmph. Better luck next year.
